![]() ![]() it was fun to watch and fun to be a part of it all. pool area' s became functional, beach areas opened and rooms, lobbies and restaurants came online. But I have to say the Hacienda Side ( or family side is 90% done and while there for 10 days we watched the heavenly side transform before our eyes. Yes, there was construction, yes there were issues with all of the amenities, the spa and some restaurants not being fully available. Well that was accurate at one level and far form the truth at another. The idea was to try it out, knowing it was under construction still and probably NOT in full operation. We recently went to this resort with some good friends. eel, spider monkeys, star fish, barracuda, colourful 's gorgeous. The Heaven side has a lot of work to go so, other than the spa and Toro (which are out of this world) just stay at Hacienda. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. I have a full liquor dispenser with premium liquor, in-room wine and chocolate milk for my little ones! Gorgeous stone wall by the jacuzzi! The room attendants, for turndown, had the music playing, mood lighting, chocolates for the kids, strawberries dipped in chocolates! What a great first night! Tip. The house wines aren't great so I suggest you use your credits or have a refreshing mojito! They are perfectionists with this cocktail! The rooms are stunning. Even at the teppanyaki they special ordered my dinner to ensure gluten-free. They let my daughter borrow some ballet costumes for the free character breakfast! I have a wheat intolerance and they've been so accommodating for me. They have managed to make my very timid 4 year old feel welcome and excited to see the characters! Angelina Ballerina taught some ballet moves and Barney sang some classics. The kids club is the most friendly club I've encountered. The shows are fantastic with a wonderful entertainment crew. I am still at the resort, on the Hacienda side, and it's beautiful! The resort is about 80% finished but the areas that have work are room blocks away from the pools and beach and some member lounges in the main lobby building.
